The creation
The Peninsula Resort opened its doors in Akosombo, Eastern Region, perched along the shores of the Volta Lake. Built with an African antique feel and a vision for luxury, the resort quickly became a destination for travellers seeking a retreat away from Accra.

The Peninsula Resort made history by opening West Africa’s longest canopy walkway — 550 metres of pure thrill overlooking the breathtaking Volta Lake and the lush green Akosombo mountains, surpassing the previous record held by the Lekki Conservation Centre in Nigeria.
